Ministry Blog

As told about earlier the Network NeuroArt suddenly “died” in December last year. Someone decided to pull the plug and almost effectively killed off a joint network with several members…

However.

The Network lives on and the last month or so have been very busy in building up the networking again, find a new on-line structure, a new and viable name and last but not least connecting the existing members to the “new” network.

In reality the Network changed name and most of the members decided to stay on the ship. In fact, several new members that were in pipe-line has also entered into the new network. The new name of the network is NovelArt and during December and January Ministry of Art & Jump has started up a new site, which has been set up and worked over. It will be properly and officially introduced and launched before soon. All previous references to NeuroArt obviously intends NovelArt. The link-name in “categories” have thus been updated (changed name) as well.

NovelArt has now it’s new unique website and blog up and running, and there are already a few things to read and go over for visitors, even if the site is not officially opened yet. If you like to sneak a peak, feel free to hitch a ride over to the State of NovelArt.

The Ministry News Blog has now 1100 articles for your enjoyment. So it’s time to celebrate yet another posting milestone for the NewsBlog! Since the start there has been an increasing speed of growth. Several features has been added since the start. Well, even during the last two months. From the start the blog was intended as a “News Blog” but the blog also became an insight in the life of the artist and the Minister - which in fact is not always the same, or two different things… The Ministry News blog deals in with everything that revolves around the Ministry of Art & Jump (that includes thoughts, ideas, art projects, philosophy, psychology, culture - and much more) about the Trinity (the Artist, the Minister and the Ministry).

By the way, if you wondered. “MC” is the same thing as 1100 in roman numbers, and has nothing to do with motorcycles… The romans used letters for digits (no wonder that their empire crumbled…).

Once again the Minister has come down with a nice autumn-cold. (No wonder the Minister hates this season and suspect he might been born into the wrong climate zone). This time however he went to the doctors immediately, instead of going around dragging this with him and thinking “it might go away”. At the visit to the doctor the verdict came very quickly. Some sort of infection in the airpipes combined with a rhinosinusitis (sinusitis). No beating around the bush (even if the Minister suspects that Bush deserves a beating, or at least being slapped around for a while…).

However. (Sorry for drifting off topic there for a while). Back to the health-issue. This is nothing that a does of penicillin and cortisone (hopefully) can’t cure. Oh, great then, so at least the Minister wasn’t imagining. The Minister will now go back to his laid back position on the couch and think some presidential thoughts.

The new video-section here at the Newsblog has grown a bit lately - as some might have noticed already. And since the video documentation project started a little “website” has been building up (by default) at YouTube. The new address is easy enough, and there is also a new link to this site in the right margine. The new address is www.youtube.com/MinisterofArt and has right this minute collected about 10 videos for your viewing pleasure.

The Ministry News Blog has now over 1001 articles for your enjoyment.

Break out the Champagne!!

Statistics for the Ministry of Art site has revealed that the 1.000.000 limit has been crossed! In the midst of summer, when all traffic are down (except the conducted trips to the south), the Ministry is breaking a new record. One million! Regretfully we don’t have the exact moment and date when the one million limit was breached. But it must have been during the passing of the weekend or possibly in the end of last week.

The latest numbers from the web statistics at the Ministry Website has just come in and it’s an exciting reading. The statistics has shown a clear trend over the past year. In 2006 the total was just under 81.000, in 2007 it was a total of stunning  550.000! Since the start in 2006 the figures is almost 10 times higher on the average. For 2007 and up till today the average per day has been between 2000 and 2500. Usually the summer is slow but in mid-July we have already the same figures as June. The peak in November 2007 was probably due to the Ministry-conducted Biennale in Eslöv.

Enligt obekräftade rykten på Ministeriet cirkulerar tankar på strejkbryteri. Som ni kanske inte glömt bort är ju Ministeriet försatt i strejk sedan 12 februari i år. Läs mera här om strejken. Sedan strejken inleddes har inte ett penseldrag tagits i konstnärliga sammanhang (färdigställande av påbörjade verk samt handledsträning är undantaget strejkvarslet). Dock finns det nu som sagt ännu ej bekräftade idéer om att återuppta måleriet. Mera information om detta följer så snart som möjligt!

Neurobash has announced that they will abort all collaboration in connection with the Musical Dogs. Reasons are a bit unclear, but you can read their only comment about it at their site here. While doing this they have also deleted their own videos with the music from the world wide video-feed YouTube.

The musical Dogs has revealed a sensitiveness and something that looks like fear since the announcement of it’s preparation. An institute in Copenhagen backed out with unclear reasons, after first being interested and scheduling a tiem and date for the premier performance. After that the musical has been given a stage in Dalby, at Konstfabriken (swe. The Artfactory) in Dalby.

Som alla läsare nog lagt märke till är Ministerie-servicen “Ministeriet gratulerar” tillbaka. Dock är det bara av kortare karaktär under tiden projektet slutförs. Det mesta är redan gjort, men förra året i juni och juli var Ministern på bejublad turné i västra Kanada (British Columbia). Och då blev det lite si och så med bloggandet, det var en del av projektet som aldrig hanns med då och detta ska nu göras klart. I slutet av juli är dock projektet avslutat och då är hela årets namnsdagar införda i bloggens kategori: “Ministeriet gratulerar”.
