PRESSRELEASE: ARCHIVE - EBS V, Spinoza kom aldrig till Eslöv

Eslöv By The Sea, ARCHIVE V

Detta och mycket mer avhandlas ingående i Eslöv By The Sea, Del 5.

fredag, september 18th, 2009

Preparations and research are being done for the fifth part of the art-project ARCHIVE - Eslöv By The Sea. Part V is about Eslöv and the religion, or actually Eslöv and the philosophy. Religion and philosophy is interconnected and we can’t consider the one without considering the other. The subtitle for the fifth part is “Spinoza never made it to Eslöv”. More stunning finds from the unknown history of Eslöv will be presented, as in the previous exhibition. Part V will be exhibited in the magnificent Eslöv Town Museum and the opening night is planned for November 28. More about this later.

H2 exhibition video

torsdag, september 17th, 2009

Todays documentation flashback is a new video from an exhibition in may this year (2009). The exhibition was made in cooperation with the Eslöv Culture School and was a theme exhibition named “Heaven & Hell”. The video takes us on a quick trip through the exhibition entering into and moving through Hell before we reach Heaven…

New Gallery added - ARCHIVE IV

torsdag, juni 25th, 2009

Todays documentation flashback is a new gallery from the ARCHIVE-project. In 2007 the fourth part of the ARCHIVE Project was presented on the Eslöv Biennale. ARCHIVE IV was a whole new exhibition in the project containing artefact’s/ objects.

After telling the story about how people during the 1700’s and 1800’s used to travel to their contemporary cultural pinnacle, to Eslöv. ARCHIVE IV concentrated on telling the story of the Eslöv globetrotters that roamed the known world and spreading the Eslöv culture to more or less every corner of the globe. Once again did the research further strengthen the thesis that Eslöv once was the Cultural Capital of the Western world; that Eslöv once was the cultural cradle for the modern Western civilization that we know today.

Power Buttons

tisdag, juni 16th, 2009

Todays documentation flashback is from a “button-exhibition” in Malmoe called Push Buttons. The curator for the group exhibition was possessed by the little buttons that surrounds us these days, when we live in the age of the push button. Everything can be taken care of by a simple push of a button. The Minister of Art was invited to the exhibition and showed amongst other a range of “power-buttons”. A type of buttons we perhaps might wish was never invented. Buttons for nuclear-bombs, from nuclear-plants and tanks and some more…  On the opening night that Minister also shouldered the mantle of a guard that kept an eye of the crowd. Some of the buttons were very rare and the only thing that made the owner loan them to the exhibition was the fact that they could not be left unguarded, at any time. The rest of the exhibition time they had to be represented by photos only. The opening night was the only time for the audience to experience the buttons physically (and the physical guard as well). Some of the buttons made a strong impact on the audience and they reacted very strongly. Others in the audience clearly had a problem with uniformed men… It was a sucessful exhibition in the sense that it provoked feelings and reations from the audience (which to be honest not many exhibitions do…).

Exhibition flashback; Attention, Please!

Exhibition flash-back. A joint venture in Malmoe with the crack-pot Klas Eriksson. Why is that the warnings-signs around us aren’t that interesting? And the one’s that really are important seems to be missing.
