PRESS RELEASE HopArt in LONDON - PoliNation: 2nd International Conference on Micronations

This weekend the Ministry of Art will attend the 2nd International Micro nation Conference at Chelsea Old Town Hall in London, July 14-15. The Minister of Art & Jump Fredrik Axwik will represent Ladonia (www.ladonia.com) as a delegate together with the Queen, Carolyn I. The Minister will, amongst others, perform the Ladonia National Anthem since he will perform a HopArt Jump in London. As this is written the place is not set yet. Perhaps in the neighborhood of Serpentine Gallery in Hyde Parks Serpentine Lake or such, since everybody that I’ve consulted has strongly recommended against jumping into The Thames…

I helgen kommer Konstministeriet att delta i den andra internationella mikronation konferensen i Chelsea Old Town Hall i London, 14-15 juli. Konst- och Hoppministern Fredrik Axwik kommer att representera Ladonien (www.ladonia.com) tillsammans med landets Drottning och kommer bland annat att framföra Ladoniens nationalsång i och med att ett Hoppkonst hopp kommer att utföras i London. I skrivande stund är platsen ännu inte spikad. Ev. i närheten av Serpentine Gallery i Hyde Parks Serpentine Lake eller nåt liknande, eftersom alla har avrått mig å det livligaste angående att hoppa i Themsen…

At Dunkers Culture House last Friday a performance/inauguration was made and it was a grand success. It was performed in a jam-packed Dunkers! A couple of hundred people filled the big exhibition hall to the last square inch. People in the back apparently couldn’t really see or hear all that was going on - which of course was a pity! The performance included the first official State visit by the Ladonian President. The Presidents had prepared a speech which was read by the State Secretary and The Minister of Art & Jump carried out the presentation of the President as well as playing the national anthem. Ministry security personnel also kept a guarding eye on things when a very valuable gift was presented to Dunkers.

• Disturbing elements
• puddles (pools) of water
• sullen people
• lost wallets
• surveillance
• beer running out (or the suspicion thereof)
• weird signs
• too many different speed limits
• bad rubber bands
• malfunctional pens
• lack of brotherliness
• round-about driving according to EU
• VAT on dill
• (all too) short vacations
• difficult choices, especially too many (max 3 is desirable)
• the insignificant thickness of the earth crust (the eerie thinness)
• interrupters (people that interrupt conversations)
• cowardice (especially the lack of courage to stand up for one’s beliefs)
• too much anxiety

Ladonien som tredje riket

Kultur. Antingen rycker man på axlarna, eller så går man rakt in i den konceptuella fällan. Jag väljer nu det senare, eftersom hela grejen är för smaklös för att låta bli. Det fiktiva lilla leklandet Ladonien låter nämligen genom sin “Konst- och hoppminister” meddela att man för att högtidlighålla konstverket Nimis 30-årsjubileum tänker hålla en folkomröstning.

Eller förlåt, “anslutningsomröstning” ska det vara, där alla närvarande i Ladonien har rösträtt. Det som ska beslutas om är Sveriges eventuella anslutning till Ladonien.

Ja, man kallar det faktiskt för “Anschluss”, precis som när Österrike annekterades av Hitlertyskland. Och så skojar man lite om att det förmodligen kommer att vara den första riktigt demokratiska omröstningen någonsin.

Herrar konstnärer: Nu har ni fått er uppmärksamhet. Och här får ni en skopa upprördhet. Jag misstänker att det är det ni lever på och frodas i. Oklart varför.

He came, he was seen, he jumped. What a wonderful day for an anniversary-jump. Ladonia was jam-packed today with tourists and the Glorious Green was waving proudly in the moderate wind! During the 4 hours we were there there was probably around 500 people. People tend to come and go the whole time, even if most of them only stay for an hour or so. Some stay longer of course. The event was filmed. Swedish Radio was there interviewing, papers was there, it was over all a rather big event.
