Protests added

Sunday, August 1st, 2010

In relation with the HopArt-jump in Ladonia yesterday some new protest was added to the list:

  • Disturbing elements
  • puddles (pools) of water
  • sullen people
  • lost wallets
  • surveillance
  • beer running out (or the suspicion thereof)
  • weird signs
  • too many different speed limits
  • bad rubber bands
  • malfunctional pens
  • lack of brotherliness
  • round-about driving according to EU
  • VAT on dill
  • (all too) short vacations
  • difficult choices, especially too many (max 3 is desirable)
  • the insignificant thickness of the earth crust (the eerie thinness)
  • interrupters (people that interrupt conversations)
  • cowardice (especially the lack of courage to stand up for one’s beliefs)
  • too much anxiety

Förvirrad artikel(författare)

Sunday, August 1st, 2010

Kultur.

Post-jump

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

He came, he was seen, he jumped. What a wonderful day for an anniversary-jump. Ladonia was jam-packed today with tourists and the Glorious Green was waving proudly in the moderate wind! During the 4 hours we were there there was probably around 500 people. People tend to come and go the whole time, even if most of them only stay for an hour or so. Some stay longer of course. The event was filmed. Swedish Radio was there interviewing, papers was there, it was over all a rather big event. 🙂

Odd sock day

Friday, March 5th, 2010

At the Ministry it’s Odd Sock Day today, when the rest of the country is having a cold and wintery time. But in spite of subzero temperatures (-10 C this morning) and abundant snowdrifts and ice sheet we are heading for spring. The almanac and some tell tale signs are saying so… We are entering the “age of iciles” and reports about falling iciles (or rather iceblocks) have been common during the last 10 days or so. At the Ministry the thick snow sheet is living a retreating life under a harsh spring sun. Some days it’s plus and the spring flood is lurking around the corner. Some days it’s lots of water on the roads and in the ditches when the sun is starting to melt all the snow. The sunpanels on the Ministry-roof is already coming up to 80+ nowadays when the spring sun is out! But still, it will take some time for all this snow to disappear… As they say in the northern Norway:

“A few good summers, and we’ll be rid of this snow.”

On a different note. The Ministry is gearing up for spring and summer. After closing the fifth ARCHIVE-exhibition, next in line is now “Konstrundan” and a cooperation with a very famous swedish female electronica artist. Plans are cooking for the “Friction Performance Festival” in Uppsala which have invited HopArt in mid-June and also an unlikely 30 year Ladonia-related anniversary later on during the summer. But more about this further down the line!

War? What is it good for…

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

The President of Ladonia just received a declaration of War from some unknown sender. The declaration (if that is the right word for it) was very incoherent at best and the sender was not very clear about it’s whereabouts or origin. The peace loving Ladonia, it’s State Secretary, President and it’s citizens (may the sun always shine upon them) was accused of some very strange acts and things.

We may return on this matter, since the writer sounds persistent in his/hers delusions. The matter is based on unfounded allegations (or lies) and are blown out of proportion and sounds paranoid at best. Ladonia will have to look into the matter and investigate the source of such outrageous tirades.

Earth Hour

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

Ministry of Art & Jump, 24 March 2009 – Minister of Art – President of Ladonia announces that the Ministry of Art will participate in Earth Hour on 28 March by turning off the lights at its headquarter in Sweden and encourage all partners and Ladonian citizens around the world to join the event. More than 1,000 cities around the world will participate in the event which will show support for action on climate change and for an agreement in Copenhagen this December. Wotan City will of course shut off all electric power during the Earth Hour.

14.000 citizens

Thursday, September 11th, 2008

President of Ladonia is proud to see that the numbers of citizens are increasing and are now over 14.000 registred citizens. This bodes well for the future of the proud and free state of Ladonia. (Source: Ladonia Herald).
