Mickey Spillane is dead

Thursday, July 20th, 2006

Mickey Spillane, author of the books of Mike Hammer, died this morning – and the Ministry is saddened. The first Mike Hammer book came out in 1946. Spillane died at the age of 88 after selling more than 100 million books of the Mike Hammer-series consisting of 12… The Minister is still working on his first million sold books.

Ministry Spa

Thursday, July 20th, 2006

The weather is really behavin’ at the moment here at the Ministry. The last few weeks have been fantastic. The Ministry outdoor spa (Palmfarm Spa) reports today a staggering 35 degrees in the shadow, 28 in the pool and 36 in the outdoor sunheated hot-tub. The sundeck is almost too warm and requires frequent dips to keep one from melting in the heat. Outdoor reading is best carried out in the shade under the parasol. This is almost too good to last… We sincerely hope that the Weather-Gods keep up the good work.

Pressrelease World Jump Day

Wednesday, July 19th, 2006

IgÃ¥r var det “Day of Artful Jumps”, imorgon är det “World Jump Day

After the Jump
The first HopArt for 2006 was, as said, in Helsingborg. So far we have no pictures of the Minister in the air… This picture is taken after the jump, and the Minister is missing, presumed naked.

Respect for laws

Monday, July 17th, 2006

“Respect for laws is a pragmatic matter. Women knows this instintctively (…) Men often believe – or pretend – that the “Law” is something sacred, or at least a science – an unfounded assumption very convenient to governments.”

[R.A. Heinlein]

Lyckad afton/Successful evening

Sunday, July 16th, 2006

The “Ladonische FestSpiele” at Dunker Bar&Matsalar in Helsingborg at sunday evening (July 16) was a great success. HopArt, Lars Vilks, Ladonian Incidents (concert) and the Ladonian band Neurobash in Concert seemed to please the crowd in Helsingborg. Green drinks and Ladonian green ale at the bar was a hit. A film team documented the whole event for an upcoming documentary about Ladonia.

The program for the evening started with art making and construction. Lars (Vilks) built a sculpture named “Driftwood Bar” wich will become a part of the restaurants permanent collection. Minister of Art & Jump built a jumptower from wich he later, dressed in costume, flung himself from in protest, down into the Helsingborg harbors deep. After the jump Johan and Daniel from Neurobash started the performance of Ladonian Incidents together with Vilks. It was electronic music composed of sampled sounds from Ladonia. The instrumental music was presented by Lars, who told the story behind the songs. A ladonian historical storytelling with live electronic music. Very suggestive. The Ladonische FestSpeile ended with a regular live concert with Neurobash.
